Program “Spain and its regions exchanged knowledge with Antioquia”, ERICA, is a platform of inter-agency coordination that was formed in 2006 and is made up of public, private and academic institutions of Antioquia and Spain whose mission is to strengthen policies, intervention capacity, expertise and services that provide the entities Antioquia, through exchange of knowledge to help achieve higher levels of equity in the Department of Antioquia (Colombia).
ERICA program consists of a series of projects for the exchange of knowledge, which is the pilot project of “Transfer and development of technology watch and competitive intelligence capabilities”. It was held between April 2011 and 2012 with academic and technical assistance of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and was directed to companies and other agents of the Regional system of innovation of Antioquia, in order to increase competitiveness in the international markets and promote socio-economic development of the region.
Between their results, published the “methodological guide of competitive intelligence and technological vigilance practice”, published by the program and that presents a methodological proposal of surveillance technology validated during the year of application of the project in twenty companies in the region.
