The Santiago Manual (2007) is prepared by RICYT and represents the reference methodological manual for measuring the internationalization of science and technology in Ibero-American countries.
As a “Manual of internationalization of R&D indicators”, it offers a methodological proposal focused on the measurement of the intensity and the characteristics of science and technology internationalization in Ibero-American countries, both nationally and the institutions that carry out Technological Research and Development (R&D) tasks.
In addition, its international dimension ranges from international financing flows to results of international exploitation of national capacities and technologies generated, among other R&D indicators.
