The Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for Development (CYTED) represents a support transnational cooperation instrument in science and technology for Ibero-America.

CYTED supports innovation management, through different financing instruments designed to gather Ibero-American entrepreneurs, researchers and experts in R&D joint development projects.
The main supporting programes are:
- R&D: financing projects on strategic issues and thematic networks, aimed at creating R&D networks among universities, R&D centres and innovative companies from the member states.
- Innovation: financing CYTED Forums and support to IBEROEKA projects.
The CYTED call is annual and the network is made up of 21 member states: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela.
