On 14th October, the University Seminar on Foresight and Technology Monitoring will be held in Madrid (Spain), organised by the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC). This event is dedicated to exploring the relationship between foresight, patents, business strategy, and the UNE 166006 standard on technology monitoring.
Foresight and Technology Monitoring for Business Innovation
This university seminar aims to provide key tools for companies, students, and researchers to leverage the information contained in patent documents to innovate and achieve a competitive edge in the market.
To achieve this, participants will engage in a theoretical-practical session where key concepts will be addressed and applied in real time. The programme is as follows:
- 16:00: Opening by Raúl Cabido, Academic Director of Innovation and Transfer at URJC.
- 16:10: The importance of foresight in business strategy – Fernando Pimentel.
- 16:35: Designing a technology monitoring process in the company – Cristina Triviño.
- 17:10: Managing intangibles in the company – Alicia Ferradás.
- 17:45: Patents as a source of competitive advantage – Francisco Javier Rodríguez Barea.
- 18:10: Coffee break.
- 18:45: PatBase Workshop – Gustavo Vergara.
- 20:30: End of the seminar.
The seminar is aimed at undergraduate students, researchers, entrepreneurs, innovative companies, and staff from Technology Transfer Offices interested in technology monitoring and competitive intelligence.
